The funny thing is, someone had apparently burned lunch downstairs and my neighbor had thought the fire was in my apartment because our smoke detector was beeping.
Whatever; the exciting thing is that I now have something on her. She's the one always threatening to "tell Bill" (the managing agent of the building) when I take the dog on the roof. Well, last week I met a guy downstairs who was delivering a tank of flammable gas for my neighbor, who's a jeweler.
If it comes up, I might have to tell Bill what I know…
