maybe bring up how you know many people who have received congenitally ill dogs from breeders because of all the inbreeding? the last dog my mother had (she always gets a bred borzoi) had a cogenitall heart prob and died at 3 yrs.
I have test-driven so many dogs in the past five years, believe me: I would have all the answers if they wanted to know. But they don't: like all the people who buy puppies from pet shops—"My sister bought her for me," "It was an impulse buy—but oh, he had the worst giardia when I got him," or the clincher: "I wanted to get him out of that bad situation."
They never think about the worse situation for the overflow of puppy-mill puppies and unwanted mutts—and especially—grown dogs that have outgrown their cuteness. They want a dog without "issues" and they want it now. Don't get me started.
