It's actually illegal to do in the States, but I repost the comments of @4Ravenwan and other pro-circumcision people on Twitter; I change the sex to show that it's just as wrong to do it to boys as girls.

i have read though that some people still have their girls done in the states anyway!!!! they find people to do it!!! and i don't understand the states' obsession with it.....all those other countries that don't have it and uh, problems? no!!!

Exactly; cutting off the foreskin is a pretty radical way to deal with a problem of a little smegma. It's like cutting off the eyelids as a way to deal with too much mucus in the eyes.
